Kids Taekwondo

The Program
What this is, really
Powerful kicks, sharp focus, and the kind of confidence that lasts.
Sound Familiar?
Who This Is For
The kid with energy to burn
Bouncing off walls at home? Kicks, jumps, and full-body movement give them the physical outlet they're craving — channeled into something productive.
The one who needs structure
Clear expectations. Earned respect. A path with visible progress. Taekwondo gives kids the framework many of them are quietly asking for.
The one parents want bully-proof
Confidence is the best self-defense. By month three, they carry themselves differently — and bullies notice that first.
Three Moments
What a Class Looks Like
Walking In
Bow, focus, lock in
They bow on the way in. They line up. The transition from school chaos to mat-ready takes about ninety seconds — and they do it themselves.
During Class
Sweat, technique, repeat
Warm-up, drills, partner work, sparring or forms. High energy from start to finish, with coaches calling out names and corrections the entire time.
Walking Out
Pride you can see
They walk taller. They re-tell every drill on the way to the car. And they ask when the next belt test is.
The Transformation
What You'll Notice
Month 1
They have a thing
When other kids ask what they do, they have an answer they're proud of: 'I do Taekwondo.'
Month 3
Discipline at home
Homework gets done without the fight. They handle losing without melting down. They start setting goals on their own.
Month 6
First belt earned
Not given — earned. They felt the test. They felt the nerves. And they felt what it's like to come through the other side.
Year 1
Leadership shows up
They help newer kids. They lead warm-ups. The shy kid is gone — and a confident, kind young person took their place.

Proud ATA Licensee
Want them to compete?
They're on a real path.
Forge is a licensed school of the American Taekwondo Association — the largest martial arts organization in the world. For families who want it, that opens a door to real tournament competition with a clear path from your first in-school event all the way to a World Title.

Level 1 — In-School
Everyone at Forge can compete
Held right here at Forge. Open to every student — perfect for first-timers to learn how tournaments actually work in a familiar room with their own coaches and teammates cheering them on.
Level 2 — State Champion
The State of Florida
Competitors earn points across the season by traveling to various tournaments — many within easy travel distance — the top point-earner in each division takes home the title of State Champion for their respective state. Florida is a big competitive state and winning it is a big deal.
Level 3 — District Champion
Southeastern District (7 states)
The next step up — seven states battling for one title per division. District Champion is the highest honor a color belt can win, and for black belts, it can also qualify them to compete for a World Title.
Level 4 — World Champion
The ATA World Championship
Truly against the world — competitors from the US, Europe, Asia and South America come together to find the best of the best. Earn a spot by finishing top 10 overall in your division or by winning a District Championship.
Competition is 100% optional — most students never step on a tournament mat, and that's perfectly fine. But for the kids who want to chase it, the path is real and we're built to take them there. Learn more about ATA →

Contact is age-appropriate and tightly controlled. Sparring uses pads and gear. Injuries beyond the occasional bumped shin are rare.
Belts are earned through consistent attendance, skill testing, and demonstrated character. Most kids test every 3-4 months.
Happens to almost every kid at some point. We'll talk to you and them, find what's underneath it, and work through it together. Quitting hard things is the habit we don't want to build.
